At Home

Home is a place of moments of laughter and moments of sadness. At home is where me and my brother argue over simple things, but get along again in five minutes. Home is hearing my dad’s loud snoring rumbling through the house early in the morning, and my mom taking pictures of my dad’s beautiful cooking. My home is the smell of a fresh lovely candle my dad lit, and opening my bedroom window to a summer breeze washing my face with joy and love. Home is turning on the clean water from my sink to wash off the slobbery spit on my face from my dog. Grabbing a fresh juicy strawberry from my fridge and knowing I have food at home. Dancing in my room and knowing everything is going to be okay in my home. And at the end of the day my home is where I can snuggle under blankets, and know I'm at home, safe from a storm.
