My Home
What is home? My home is my house. Home to me is a place where the greatest memories are shared with the ones I cherish most. All the grand memories strung on tall walls that keep me safe and protected when the sun starts to fade. Each year on one special day, outstanding decorations are placed in every corner of the house to celebrate someone’s birthday. But that’s not all, it’s a surprise each year so they don’t know what’s coming at all. Home is where the comforting smell of my mom’s freshly baked cookies fill the air making the whole house feel warm and cozy like if I just woke up from a nice sleep on a beautiful summer day. Home is the place where me and my cousins run around the long spiky grass enjoying every second of the time we spend together like we might never see each other again.
Home is where my rubber ducks live, each one has a special place on my tall white shelf. Every time I step foot in my room I see my unique collection of 61 ducks and it instantly brings me buckets of joy. Home is the feeling of comfort and happiness, like when me, my sister and my parents all get together on a nice Saturday morning to enjoy a delicious breakfast of waffles and bacon. At the end of the day when I’m ready to say “good night” I look out my window to see the stars glittering through the night. The stars help me to stay calm and relaxed so I can fall into a deep sleep.
My house is the place where even when I feel sad I can remember that I’m at home and I won’t feel too bad.
