Home

Home is a safe space. Home is where I can share anything. Home is like my safety blanket because I feel very safe in my home. Home is where I can get the best hugs from my mom, and where I can play basketball with my dad. Home is where my brother tells me jokes and makes me laugh. Home is where my bed is. It’s covered with a soft fuzzy blanket, my comfy pillows and all my favorite stuffies. Home is where I can smell the sweet candles in the living room and the fresh laundry. Home is where I hear salsa, merengue, and soca. Home is where I hear my grandma's sewing machine. Home is where I can taste my moms famous lasagna. Home is where I can see the sun set and rise from my bedroom. Home is where I can watch movies with my family and enjoy popcorn. It’s where I spend holidays with my family. Home is where we have fun fridays and game days with my loved ones. Home is where we exercise. Home is where I like to enjoy warm, relaxing bubble baths. Home is where I play different games with my brother, my parents and friends like video games, basketball, soccer and types of board games. Home is where we make memories that I will keep forever. Home is where I see the tomatoes grow as well as the leaves blow in the wind. Home is where I see bunnies hop in my backyard and see my neighbors dogs when they go for their walks. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for giving people in need homes so they can feel safe, comfortable and happy as I do in my home. I hope they can make amazing memories like I do.
