MY HOME

Home, the place where I am safe, and I feel no hate. We make a cake, that we bake. We will take the time, so I can get stuff off my mind. Next thing you know I hear a DING,DING,DING as the oven tells me the cake is done. I say to my mom and dad “look at what we made. Think how much we would pay for this.” My mom said we made this with love. It is priceless. My dad said, "Do you want to go with me for a fish after this amazing dish that mom just made for us?” We are having pasta. My dad calls my mom “Master of all the Pasta!” We eat it all up, and we thank my mom, saying “that was lovely.” Dad says “come on Sam, let's go fishing.” We come home to a nice cup of hot chocolate, just the way I like it. With 4 marshmallows, 1 ice cube, and a little bit of the powder left on the bottom. My dad likes his hot chocolate regular (no marshmallows). I go sit on the couch to watch Wheel of Fortune with my family. As you can guess, I got none of the questions right, but I am not mad; I am grateful to be with my family, and I try not to take stuff for granted. This is what home is to me. Some days are different; take Christmas for example. What makes Christmas day different? MORE FAMILY!!!!!! That is what home means to me.
