Home Sweet Home
To me, home isn’t just a house. Home takes place in my heart. It’s a sense of trust and support, it’s a feeling of happiness and belonging. It’s where you feel safe and loved. Home is a haven of comfort and peace, it’s where I belong.
Home is being with my loved ones, the ones I trust the most. The people I share memories with, the ones I can laugh with. From walks with my dog where we run around in the forest, to family dinners where delicious homemade food gathers everyone around the table. Spending time with them creates so much more joy in my life.
Home is the warm and loving memories that I make with the people I care about. We can make them anywhere, as long as we have a good time! Even though fun moments can pass fast, all the memories and happiness will last a lifetime.
Home is the neighborhood where I have grown up, the park where me and my siblings play, the deep hole in the forest where we go sledding, the smiles on our faces when we play together. This is where I can be myself.
There is no other place in the world where I feel as loved, trusted and safe. Home is where my heart is.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, by giving this great opportunity to kids across Canada to be able to take part in this life changing project.
