Kind Home
Home, according to the dictionary, means the place where one lives permanently. But for me, it means so many things.
Home means the smell of amazing home-cooked meals after a snowy winter day and the kindness coming from my mom and dad when I walk through the front door.
Home is where I feel safe every single day when I wake up, when I play with my brother in my bedroom, when I sit down at family dinners, and when I go to sleep at night.
Four years ago, when my mom and dad decided to bring our family to Canada, I knew they loved their children more than themselves. They agreed to sacrifice their dream jobs, their friends, and their stability to secure our bright future in Canada.
To me, wherever my family is together, that is my home. Whenever my mom and dad are beside me, I will always feel loved. Love and kindness are the most important things in the world.
This is what home means to me.
