My Home
My home is a place to go when I am lonely.
My home is a place where my family can accompany me.
My home is something personal to me and is something not everybody has.
My home is a place where I learn my manners.
My home is a place to experience more of life.
My home is the place where love and care are shared with one another.
My home is a place where injuries are healed.
My home is a place where memories are made and love never ends.
My home is a place where a chain of love is created that can never be broken.
My home is like a video game, you get knocked around, but you always have people by your side, to help you get back on your feet.
My home is not just a place to play video games and goof around, it is a place where affection is built.
My home is a place to hide from snowstorms, rainstorms, or thunderstorms.
My home can be small or big, it does not matter, it is still called home.
My home feels like my brother trying to carry me on his back.
My home smells like my mom’s delicious home-made samosas.
My home sounds like the music my dad plays on the weekends.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for giving my class and the whole of other classes in Canada a chance to improve our writing skills and help families to find places to live and be safe.
