Home

When I think of home, I think of my senses. I smell my mom’s homemade pad thai cooking, oh so sweet. I also smell the fireplace roaring with some delightful heat. I hear my sister screaming when she doesn’t get her way. I also hear her singing when she is having a better day. I taste my dad's awesome fluffy pancakes lapping the syrup up. Next of course is a big gulp of milk from my favourite cup. For touch I think of playing football with my Dad in my yard by the shed. Then after a long day grabbing my donut pillow and sleeping in my bed. I see my Nana coming up the walkway with a bag of her delicious cookies with chocolate chips. Or my fish, especially sucky, when I walk in my room, he almost flips. When I wake in the morning, I feel tired from a good night's rest. Then when I get home from Jiu Jitsu, I feel at my best. But the biggest feeling of all is in my heart, in my chest, because with a home like this I feel truly blessed.
