The Meaning of Home

Home to me is a place where I can go and always know it's safe. Home will always be the place I go for help. I know that I can just stop everything else and take a break to relax when I'm home. Home is not a home because of the building. It's a home because of the people. My family is always there when I walk in the door, whether it's my grandfather there to look after me, or it's my brother playing guitar. I have one pet who is named Neville. He is a guinea pig and he is 6 years old! He loves vegetables and fruit. Neville is brown and orange! His fur is really soft and fluffy! My family is caring to me, and they do a lot of things for me. I feel very lucky to be in a family who can take me on trips, pay for learning, and so much more. I love to watch movies with my family and even by myself. The feeling of being under a warm blanket and having a hot drink while watching a movie makes me think of home. Home is a place that you should be very thankful for. Not everyone has a home they can go to when they are feeling sad, or a family to comfort them in hard times. I feel very lucky to have a loving family and a safe home. Thank you for reading my essay on the meaning of home. I'm very grateful to be a part of this amazing project to help build homes for people in need.
