What Home Means to Me
Home is a place filled with joy.
Home is the place where I played with my first toy.
Home is more than a roof and four walls
Home is where I learned to walk and where I had my first falls.
Home is not just a place with my clothes on my bed
or a plate of food on the table and a roof over my head.
It’s the pictures on the walls that hold our memories and the height board to see if we have grown,
and the inspirational words spread across the room.
On the weekend nights my mom, dad and my little sister and I curl up on the couch and watch a movie,
eat our popcorn and have a dance party to get groovy.
My family and I love our home. We all love what you do in habitat for humanity so my family, everyone around and even myself would like to say Thank you. Thank you for helping the world to make it a better place.
