What Home Means To Me
Home is not a house, something everyone needs to know. Home can mean many things but for me, home means a place where my family is with me, a place I feel like I belong, and a place I feel loved and respected.
It is hard to find a place you belong in this world, but a place you can definitely trust is your home. When I'm in my home, I feel safe as I know my family is with me and it makes my home even more special than it already is when they’re around. Home is a place for kindness. Kindness is a term that means choosing to help someone or yourself, and it often results in putting other people’s needs before our own. I know my home has shown me a tremendous amount of kindness to me by putting their life at risk for mine to be safe and I’m grateful for that.
I can’t believe that I have not realized how much my home has done for me and my loved ones just to keep us safe and I hope that my home realizes that I will always love my home for how it has protected me over the years. My home and I have made many memories together in the past few months and we will make even more as time goes by.
My home has made me feel loved and accepted which is a feeling only someone dear to me can give. I am thankful for Habitat for Humanity to give people like me a chance to have an affordable home just like mine and I am grateful for their cause too. I love my home and I hope it can stay with me all my life. This is what home means to me.
