Home is where the heart is
I’m just a regular sixth grader, in an ordinary house, with a typical family. But there is one place that makes me feel very special. My home. My home makes me feel extraordinary.
Home is where my family lives and grows. Home is where I feel safe and welcomed. Home is where I can relax after a long school day and a tough soccer game. Home is a place where I can study the best and then rest.
Home is a place where I learn from my parent’s experiences. Home is a place where I am taught to be the best version of myself. Home is also a place where I can make mistakes, and that is okay. Because home is where I don’t have the fear of being judged. Home is that one place where my emotions are accepted and my feelings are understood, with an open heart and open mind. Home is where I have learnt my first steps, my first words and where I made my first connections. Home is where I have done science experiments with my dad. Home is where I have painted beautiful portraits with my mom. Home is where me and my sister learnt history and values.
Home is where my sister annoys me the most and I tease her back. Home is where I can cuddle my two adorable cats and be comfortable with them.
A home does not need to be fancy and lavish, with expensive decorations. Home is a place where one can be comfortable, spend time with loved ones and unwind.
In conclusion, home is where the heart is.
