MY MEANING OF “HOME”

The tax rate in Canada has not been great lately. A lot of people go homeless and get evicted. They aren't able to afford living in their house and paying all the bills that come with it. Buying groceries is also very expensive. With everything being so expensive leads to people either going hungry or going homeless. That is why I care and appreciate my home so much and if someone asked me to think of how my home is in 3 words I would have to say, Family, Memories and peacefulness because that's what makes my house feel like home. My family makes me feel like home. My family makes me feel cozy and comfortable with being myself. My family makes me happy when I'm with them and when they hang out with me that makes me feel loved and appreciated. My family helps me learn new things and teach me things I never knew. They also take care of me when I get hurt. My family makes me feel welcomed and safe when I’m with them because they take great care of me. If I didn't have my family, I wouldn't feel at home. Memories make me feel like home. Memories help me remember the good and fun things that have happened in the past with my favorite people. They make me think of things I can do again with new people to make new good memories with. Memories make me happy and glad to have people to make memories with because some people might not have people to make good memories with so it means a lot to me. Sometimes I can have bad memories but I just like to think about the good ones. Memories are so important when I think of home because it's a part of my home. Peacefulness makes me think of home. When people ask me what I think about home I always say peacefulness. My home is very quiet and calm on most days. My family always respects my privacy which makes it very peaceful for me. When I think of home I dont think of chaos I think of peacefulness because nothing really happens normally in my home. If it wasn't peaceful it would be chaotic which it's not and it's good that it's not. No one wants their home to be chaotic. Without my family, without memories, and without peacefulness my home wouldn't feel like home to me because it's not the house that makes it my home,it's the stuff inside of my house that makes it “home.
