My meaning of home is… the place where I can be me.
Home is my special place because when I am sad or feel down my mom is always there to cheer me up and make me happy. My cat is also always there to give me hugs and kisses.
A home is the sound of the floor creaking in the middle of the night when I get up to use the washroom or get a glass of water without waking up my mom. My home is the smells of the vanilla lavender candle my mom lights in the evening before we watch a movie.
Home isn’t home without playing outside with my friends in all seasons.
Home is the place where you can put posters on the wall and really anything you want just to make it feel more like home. Having a dance party my stepsisters in your bedroom listening to Taylor swift on my two favorite CDs.
Home is a place where I can wake up on my birthday and go to the living room and see all my birthday presents from my family. Then listen to them sing Happy Birthday to me, not knowing what to do before blowing the candles out feeling awesome and special.
I am so thankful that there is a roof over my head so it would feel like a Home.
Habitat for Humanity helps people all around the community put a roof over their head and make a place for them to light candles.
