What Home Means to Me

When I was born, I was born in the Philippines and I stayed there for 2 years until my dad’s parents went to Canada. My dad told my mom that he was going with his parents. My mom didn't want him to go, so they got into an argument. My dad still went, but my mom and I stayed in the Philippines. When I was 3 years old my mom and I went to Canada. We arrived on February 6, 2017. We lived in the basement of my dad’s house until mid 2019 when we moved into an apartment block. We lived in the basement area of the apartment until mid 2020. When we moved, there were issues with my parents' relationship and it got so bad that they broke up in 2021. I stayed with my dad for a while, but then I chose to stay with my mom in 2022. Now I live with my mom and I see my dad every 2 weeks and it's kind of peaceful now. Home is a place where you make lifelong memories with your family. Home is a place where you should talk out your arguments. Home is a place where you should feel safe and happy!
