What My Home Means to Me
My home means scented candles that fill the air. It means the people I live with and love. My home means a warm, comforting blanket falling over me. It means delicious food, sometimes sweet, sometimes savory.
My home means arguing with my sister then, afterward, realizing how much I love her. It means my family working together. Home means my family fighting then rebuilding relationships.
Home isn't a place, it's more of a feeling. Home means a feeling of love in my heart. My home means feeling appreciated, loved, and peaceful. Home means feeling safe and secure at night. It means watching movies on Friday evenings and knowing that they will end with a happily ever after.
I am so thankful to have a home, a home should be a human right. I pray for those who don't have a home and that Habitat For Humanity will successfully help with giving them one. My wish and hope is that everyone will have a dry, stable, and safe place to stay. Thank you to everyone who is helping the homeless have a home.
