The Imperfect Perfect of my Home
The Imperfect Perfect of my Home
My home is not perfect, but it is good enough for me. I might have to eat my dad’s bad cooking, look at my sister's horrendous makeup choices, or listen to the squeals of my pets or the feeling of their 10 pounds of dog shed scattered everywhere, but you know that they are family and family is what is important in this world. Friends come and go, but family is forever. You might have to wait until the storms of your sister's rage subside, but always know that she loves you (not now) after a fight. Take my house for example, you would walk in and smell my mom/s incomparable apple fritter pies (and it tastes amazing), you would hear my dogs infamous woof-squeals, you might smell the cleaning vinegar that my mom uses to make the house immaculate for guests. This is what I think of whenever you say “home.”
