What Home is to Me

Home is where I feel safe. Home is filled with the aroma of my mom's cooking. Home is where I learned how to play board games. Home is not only a place where we eat and sleep it is a place filled with toys and joy. Home is where we all come together and tell stories or watch movies. Home is filled with the people I love and care about. Home is where my cousins, uncles, and aunts come together to celebrate birthdays and festivals. Home is where I learned how to walk and run, to play, and have fun. Home is not just a place where you were born, it is a place where you can be yourself. Home is a place where I can trust everyone. Home is the beginning and end of each day. Home is not just a place we live in, home is a feeling. Home is where I built forts with my brother. Home is a shelter from all storms. Home is where memories are made. Home is everyone’s comfort space. Home my safe space… Thank you Habitat and Humanity for this amazing opportunity to kids across Canada, and to help those in need!
