Home is a Feeling, House is a Structure
Home is a feeling, house is a structure. Memories are made, I am always supported, and there are people who forever care about me.
Memories stick with me endlessly. I love looking back and remembering funny moments when my family and I messed up, even when my dad makes his unfunny dad jokes. Looking through old baby photos brings back good memories too.
Home is where I am supported. My dad gives me pep talks before hockey games. He supports me and gives me lots of confidence. Being supported in my home means being allowed to be my true self and knowing my family will always understand if I mess up.
Home to me is people caring about my well being. I know people in my home care about me. My mom is the most caring person I know. She gives me big warm hugs before school and does extra things for me. She makes me different meals than everyone else, because I'm a picky eater. Lastly, people in my home show me they care by being nice and forgiving me for my horrible mistakes.
Not everyone has a house but everyone has a home. At home, I am truly supported, memories are created, and everyone in my home is caring.
At the end of the day, home is wherever my family and emotions are.
