From House to Home
When a house became my home
It was populated with happiness and love
For my family was inside exploring and finding
What made our new home so loving and binding
When a house became my home
It was filled with giggles of laughter
For neighbours and friends were joking and laughing
Good jokes if you heard, would make you start cracking
When a house became my home
It was crammed with liveliness and passion
For it was where I would spend the rest of my childhood
In a community, my new neighborhood
When a house became my home
It was overflowed with haste and business
For I get ready for a soccer practice or game
The adventures at home cannot become tame
When a house became my home
It turned from one thing to another
From a building for people, made of shingles and mortar
To a place for a family to love each other
Thank you to Habitat for Humanity
For letting me and thousands of other kids
Help donate money so you can make houses,
And turn them into homes
