My Home
Home is not a place you can feel or touch
It’s not bricks, siding, or even roofing shingles.
Home is where I feel loved and safe,
It’s a place I can go to escape from my worries.
If home was a sight, it would be my dog’s delight
Wagging her tail and barking as she sees the car parking.
My little sister’s face as she arrives at this place,
I see smiles and laughter around the kitchen table.
Warm and wonderful is my home
Even when it’s my home away from home
My house may be far, but my home is always just around the corner
My home and your home may be different
But we all have a happy place, wherever it may be.
