The Whip Cream to My Hot Chocolate

Home for me is a soft blanket that I wrap around me like a burrito after I walk home from school on a rainy day. Home is the smell of sweets in the air when my Dad and I have just put a batch of sweets like cookies in the oven. Home is where me and my brother fight playfully because we are siblings and there has to be some rivalry between us! Home is where my family and I are getting comfortable on the couch with popcorn and water about to watch a movie. Home is where I don’t have to worry about small things, like if I should get out of my pj’s because it’s 2pm! Home is a place where my friends and family would do anything for me, where I would do anything for them! This is where we watch endless episodes of The Simpsons. For me, something that almost completely makes a home is cooking or baking! I love to bake cookies with my dad because cooking makes me feel at home and it makes me feel happy, cozy, and warm. Home is not like a house. It is where secrets lay, where there is prosperity, harmony, and where family sleeps effortlessly. A house is supported by beams, metal, glass and walls. This is what home is for me. This is the whipped cream to my hot chocolate.Thank you habitat for humanity for giving people a home. Bye now!
