Home Is a Feeling

Home. Not a house, but a feeling. A feeling of peace, A feeling of safety, A feeling of comfort. A light in the dark, Lit up by the people you love. Home is a feeling of familiarity, Of ease, Of happiness, Of sadness. Built up on memories, Where everything started, Where you feel the nostalgia Of memories flooding back to your mind. Washing away the present, And bringing back the past. A trip down memory lane, And no one’s hitting the brakes. All of that happens when you step right through that door. You feel safe, comforted, like you belong. You feel… home. And I hope you feel at home in yours. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving people without a home, a home.
