Meaning of Home

Home is not just a building. Home is where half the time the house is peaceful and silent, and the other half you can hear my mom screeching on the phone. Home smells like McDonalds that cost $59.00. Home looks like Friday movie nights with my sister. Home is where I can cry for one hour. Home is where I can have an outrage. Home is where me and my sisters have karaoke at 1:00 AM. Home isn’t always a happy place or happy people. Home is where I can jam to music. I choose where my home is. Home doesn't have to be the place you want, but it can also be the people you want. My home’s foundation is made of love. I am not home right now but I know one day I will be. Whether it be tomorrow, or the end of time. I love my home and my home loves me, and really that's all I need.
