A house isn't always a home
A house is often the first step in becoming a home. A house has four walls, a roof and a floor but a home is a place where love and kindness thrives. A home is comfortable and exciting like snuggling down on christmas eve and being filled with excitement for the morning.
Home is when I’m with my dad on a walk and he scratches his back on a tree like a bear, or when he talks about his odd interest in brass things. He bought a whole duck made of brass, his name's Bill!
A house is just a structure but a home is a beautiful place to call your own. Everyone's home is different, a bird's home may be a nest in a tree carefully constructed of thin small twigs. But a bear's home may be in a warm but dark cave in a forest, next to their favorite spot to catch some fish.
Home is the ups and downs, the map for when you are lost, and the balance in life.
