My Miniature Magical Home
I would put in my miniature magical home
The comfort of my family’s familiar warm hugs
The love from the people around me
And my grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins celebrating
I would put in my miniature magical home
The playful growl of my dogs
The smell of their freshly shampooed ears
And my hand brushing up against their fur
I would put in my miniature magical home
All my friends in summer splashing in the cool pool
A long soak in the bubbles of the hot tub
And a space to dance on the dusty deck
I would put in my miniature magical home
A drawer in the art room filled with possibilities
A magical paint brush to make my drawings come to life
And an enormous easel to display my creations
My home is fashioned of people in the kitchen
Making the most delicious food
With a lid that opens like the welcoming front door
Its hinges are the arms of my loving family
In my miniature home I will eat the fluffiest waffles
I will practice my dances in the living room
And I will grow up
