Home and Me

Home is the feeling you get when you feel safe, happy, and free to be yourself. Home is where you make memories. Home is where memories lie deep in the walls. Home is where you are free to dream. Home is where pictures of family and friends hang on the walls. Home is where stockings are hung on our mantel at Christmas time. Home is where my family unwraps Christmas presents around the tree. Home is where friends and family gather to have fun. Home is where I smell a warm batch of my moms cookies. Home is where I see beautiful flowers in the garden. Home is where I come home on a cold winter day and drink a fresh warm cup of hot chocolate. Home is where my family laughs around the dinner table. Home is where I comfort my brother when he is sad. Home is where a blanket is over me on cold winter nights. Home is where I eat my grandmother's delicious dinner. Home is where I write my stories in my journal. Home is where I wake up early in the morning and find my mom sitting at the table siping a warm cup of coffee. Home is where me and my dog cuddle up and watch Queer Eye. Home is where I feel the love from the end of my moms long hair to the end of her fingertips when I hug her. Home is where I’m safe even if I don’t feel like it. Home is where love is. Home is where I’m free to be myself. Home Is Where Love Shines The Brightest. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving me this experience. What you do is amazing. Thank you!!!
