My Home
Home is a place where many emotions can be shared. At home, I feel comfortable to cry, laugh and share my real options and feelings. At home, there are people who care, the people you love. Home feels like floating on a cloud, being able to accomplish anything. Home smells like the buttery popcorn we eat when we have movie nights together. Home sounds like the calming waves of the ocean, with saltwater in the air. Home tastes like my mom’s chocolate chip cookies, that make me feel warm inside. When I lost a friend, home was the only place I felt comfortable. I felt unsafe to cry, unsecure to be happy, and guilty to laugh. I felt misplaced at school, in the pool and just walking around. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving people a chance to have a place they feel comfortable.
