My Home

Home is a place of peace. At home we help each other with housework and we love each other. A good home should be peaceful. The houses are different, big or small. But what makes the home special is the love and kindness of the people, of the family members. We usually cook and eat at home. We rest and sleep there. I think home is one of the places where we learn different things because we are with our family. When it is cold outside and there is a strong wind, we take a look out the window under the blanket and drink hot chocolate, keeping us warm. The sound of me and my sister running echoes in the house. My mother makes delicious cookies and the smell spreads in the house. I usually have a flower branch on the table and my father warms the house with the woodstove. We enjoy being together. Home is safe and I love the warm living room where we watch TV and have dinner. At home we express our emotions, whether sad or happy. Sometimes when we are upset and get back from school we all share our emotions and get help. We help each other on the days we have chores, and others help me and we enjoy this. At home, we play with the family, for example pantomime and other games. What I mean by all the things I wrote is that even the best place in the world and even the most beautiful place in the world is home because we are with family members. There is no place like home. And I hope that all the people in the world will have a house so that everyone can love it like me.
