Home is Where

Home is a safe space where you can think and talk about anything. Home is where you make memories with the ones you love, the type of memories that you frame and hang on the wall. Home is where I took my first steps and first words. Home is where I made my first batch of brownies which turned out very salty. Home is where you gaze up at the stars on a cold night with your loved ones. Home is where you cuddle up with your family on a movie night with snacks, drinks, and laughter. Home is where I come home from school and run up to my parents for a big hug. Home is where my mom's cooking tastes the best, nowhere else does it taste the same. Home is where my sister and I laugh, cry, and be funny around each other when we feel the need. Home is where my mom and dad guide me through tough times and make it seem so easy. Home is where the fire burns bright on a snow day with hot chocolate in your hands and comfy pjs on. Home is full of laughter, hugs, happiness, and memories that will forever stay no matter how old you get. The people you share it with too matter like my Mom, Dad, and my sister. This is what home means to me.
