What Home Really Means to me...
Home is a place of happiness and fun, where all feel welcome, and not a fear in the world. I can do anything without being judged or made fun of.
At home, I feel warm in the presence of my Mom, Dad, sister, and two dogs. I feel safe in my home. I feel no other feeling anywhere else but at home.
At home, I smell all sorts of good and relieving smells that take me back to when I was younger, playing games with my family. When I come home after playing hockey on the rink, I can smell fresh baked cookies, and hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream. I can smell my sister's nice perfume, I can smell my dad making a delicious steak with mashed potatoes and veggies, and I can smell the faint smell of pine from our Christmas tree. There's simply no other place where I can smell these senses.
At home, I can taste the cookies and muffins my mom baked, the steak my dad cooked, the delicious snacks my mom makes for me. I can taste nice smoothies my dad makes me before I have an early hockey game or practice. I can taste a nice egg bacon and toast breakfast with my whole family. There's so many unique tastes at home.
We are all truly lucky to have a happy warm home to live in.
