Meaning of Home
I live in a small community called Grunthal, my home is small, decent and nice but what does home mean to me? Home means my community, not just the people that live with me. My community is very small, I enjoy going to my next door neighbors house to pop in and say hi, I check in on my community and try to help out with any possible need.
Grunthal isn't a big place, it's very small, it's where the Ojibwa and First Nations people used to live once a 100 years ago. My community is my home and forever will be even though most of us don't get along with each other, so many great people live in my community and we are all different and that's ok, The people in my community I will love forever and for they are. As I walk to school I check upon my community to see how they are.
I try my best to be nice and try my hardest in school but my heart breaks when I see everyone being mean. I get that my community isn’t big like Winnipeg or Brandon but everyone in my community is unique and appreciated one by one.
I am grateful for where I live because I would rather be safe in Canada than be in any other country because I get to be in snow half of the time that feels like snow and go sledding with friends at midnight but rather disappointed then spending lonely nights alone illuminating my thoughts.
My home keeps me safe, and my community keeps me safe and my community shall forever hold a place in my heart.
