My unique home

A home is a place of comfort, where we feel safe and secure. We build our homes to meet our unique needs. I feel fortunate to have a home I can share with my loving family. Every day is beautiful inside my home, from the warmth of the traditionally decorated family room, to the modern and inviting dining room and a lovely kitchen filled with the aroma of my mom’s cooking. My room is my personal favorite because it displays my best artwork and collection of soccer trophies. My home stands out more than other houses in my neighborhood due to its pitch red garage doors. In the front yard, bright and colourful peonies and roses bloom from spring to summer and a hedge of tall emerald green cedars separate our property from our neighbors. A stone path connects to the backyard with a unique deck designed and built by my dad. Warm sun rays shine through the transparent roof which also protects us during the rainy days. It’s a place where our family gathers for summer barbecues and kids play in the giant sandbox that takes up the rest of the backyard. Each corner of my home has a special place in my heart because of the many joyous memories it holds. One of my most cherished memories include watching soccer on the giant TV with my dad especially when our rival teams would compete to win the trophy. Though we might be a small family, our home is filled with love and happiness. It is a place where my most beloved memories were created. I am grateful to have a place I can proudly call my home.
