A Home is Not a House

A house can be grand, with walls painted or bare But a home has warmth, that lingers in the air A house has four corners, a roof, and a door But a home has love, that can't be bought at a store A house is just a building, with rooms and stairs But a home is where memories, are made and shared A house may have furniture, shiny and neat But a home has laughter, and a heart that beats A house can be big, with space to roam But a home is where you feel truly known A house can be cold, when you're all alone But a home is a haven, a place to call your own A house is a structure, made of bricks and stone But a home is a feeling, that can't be shown A house may have a yard, with trees and grass But a home has love, that will forever last A house may have a fancy design, But a home is where true beauty shines, With laughter, joy, and comfort too, It's where you can truly be you. Thank you Habitat for Humanity, For building homes, full of positivity. With your hard work and dedication, You've helped create a better nation.
