What is Home?

Home to me is walking through the door and falling to the floor while getting attacked by both my dogs, taking my shoes off and walking into the kitchen with the smell of ham in the oven. Home is arguing with Lily one minute then being best friends the next, The feeling of being myself without feeling judged. Home is Standing infront of the bathroom mirror with Lily listening to music and using all my mums makeup, Trying to make noodles with Lily at midnight without getting caught by my mum or stepdad. Home is going on late night Tim Horton runs in the truck with my mum and Levi. Home is blasting music in the car with my mum and Lily singing the lyrics at the top of our lungs without a care in the world, Sitting in the living room telling mum all the gossip from school, Home is baking cookies, forgetting about them and burning them, Sneaking into the pantry at 2 o’clock in the morning to grab snacks for me and Lily, Running in circles around the kitchen table trying to get away from Lily because I used her mascara without asking. Home is having late night conversations about life in me and Lily’s room because nobody quite understands me the way she does, Planning to watch movies all night with my siblings than falling asleep 10 minutes later. Home is arguing with mum than apoligizing by driving around town talking about nonsense, Sitting at the table eating supper and explaining how my day was. My home may be chaotic, weird and unusual to some people, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
