Meaning of Home

Do you know the difference between a house and a home? The Webster Dictionary says that a house is to provide shelter and a home is an apartment someone lives in. In my opinion a house is a building, and a home is so much more. The three things that make my house a home are family, memories, and safety. Now let us talk about family. Family is one of the most important things to me. One reason family makes my house a home is because they make you feel safe. For example, if I had a bad dream at night, they would pray for it to go away. The second reason family makes a house a home is because they discipline you to teach you a lesson. For example, if you lie, they discipline you, so you know better for next time. The last reason family makes a house a home is because they make sure you feel loved. For example, they (should) always spend time with you. That is why family makes a house a home. In the next paragraph I will be talking about my memories. I have a ton of memories. I have three memorable memories. They are decorating the Christmas tree for the first time, going sledding at the Kingsville Park, and Building a stuffie castle. The reason I can remember decorating the Christmas tree is because I look at the pictures every year. I loved decorating the Christmas tree. I loved decorating the Christmas tree because my mom always let me put the star on top. The reason I can remember going sledding at Kingsville Park is because we do it every year. My cousins (usually) come too. The reason I can remember building a stuffie castle is because we used to do it once or twice a year. Those are the three memorable memories I have. In paragraph number four, I will be talking about how safety makes a house a home. The last thing that makes a house a home is safety. The first reason safety makes a house a home is shelter. I can always find safety in my haven. Haven: A place of safety. For example, when I am walking home from school, and it is raining, when I come home, I will have shelter. Another reason safety makes a house a home is because you are never alone for example, if you are in a house, you are not alone because there are people around you. The last reason safety makes a house a home is because your family is always there for me. For example, if you are stressing out on homework, your parents can help you out. That is why safety makes a house a home I think everyone deserves a home. I think everyone deserves a home because I think it would help others. The three adjectives that describe my home are family, memories, and safety. As you can see, I love my home. I hope the people who are reading this can get a home.
