Meaning of Home
What is the difference between a house and a home? From the Websters English dictionary a house is a building to live in by one person or a family. To me what makes a house a home are the people that live in it, the memories that are made, and it’s where you live. Later in this essay we are going to be talking about family.
My family is adventurous and fun. We always go on vacation and adventures. We go to new places and towns. My family makes our house comforting and cozy. They make it cozy because I have a bed and I get hugs. They make my house exciting and special. We play games together and watch movies. That is why my family is fun and adventurous. Next we will be talking about what makes my home special.
Some fun memories made at home: one fun memory is when my aunt and I put a marshmallow in the microwave, it made it soft and gooey and it tasted so good. Another memory is when I had a monkey on my shoulder in 2021 in Cancun, I had never seen a real monkey before. It was very friendly. We got to give it bananas. Another memory is when I got a baseball glove for my birthday, in 2020, I was turning 6 that year. I didn’t get to play baseball that year because of Covid but I played baseball at home with my dad and my brothers. I still have that glove. Those are some of my favourite memories with my family. Next we will talk about what is special to me.
I feel safe in my home because of my family. They give me comfort. My home is big, cozy, and clean. It’s clean because everybody helps to clean it. We each have our own jobs we are responsible for. My home has pictures, decorations, carpets and lots of toys. I’m in some of the pictures on our walls. This is why I like my home.
I think everyone deserves a home. They deserve a loving home and family. My home is comforting and loving. I love my home. My prayer is that every single person could have loving home like I do.
