Meaning of Home

What’s the difference between a house and a home? According to the Webster’s Canadian Thesaurus Dictionary, a house provides with living quarters or shelter and a home is the social unit formed by a family. My opinion on the difference between a house and a home is: a home is where you live and where you make memories and a house is a building. My family is so loving. I love spending time with my family because they are so fun. They make my house a home because they’re loving, fun and kind. They’re funny too. I love my family. My pet also is fun and I love her too. My family is so creative. They come up with fun things to do and fun places to go. I hope my family can be like that forever. We make a lot of memories together. We always make smores when we have a bonfire. We run around in the dark and eat marshmallows. Another memory is having hot chocolate when we play a board game. One of my favourite games to play is Catan. My mom makes the best hot chocolate because she adds whip cream on top. Another memory is when we watch The Chosen together we get to eat mint chip ice cream. My house makes a home a home. It is cozy, warm and beautiful. There are people living in it like my mom, dad, brother and sister. I love my home because it has beds, lights, and food. I love my home because it has a lot of my favourite things in it like books, games and toys. I think all people should live in a home and deserve a home. We should help others by giving to people who don’t have a lot or can’t afford food or shelter. We can also pray for those people who are in need. I am so thankful and happy that I have a home.
