The meaning of home.

After learning about the Holocaust, home is not just the place I go to sleep, eat dinner, wake up, and be with my family, “Its the place where I can go to take this off my shoulders.” (By Machine gun Kelly and Bebe Rexha). A place where I can be myself no matter what I do or who I am. But it doesn't matter where I am or how much money I have but who I'm with. Some of my favourite things to do with my family are playing games like twister, apples to apples, and Torontoply. Or making surprise dinner for them, I remember this one time I was about 4 years old and my grandpa was making dinner so I decided to make the appetisers so I grabbed a banana from the fruit bowl on the counter and started to mash it in a plastic bowl, then I thought it would need some flavour so I put an onion in it. As I started mashing it into the banana I asked my grandpa what he usually puts onion in, I didn’t really understand what he said but I just said “okay” About 20 minutes later I even added some water then, I was caught bononion handed (Bononion is onion and banana together) She was in total shock and said “Wh-what is that” “You appatiziws” I said proudly. She widened her eyes and said “Rick, come look at what Tiff made” My grandma muttered. He turned around and shrieked, then they slowly took it out of my hands, put it in our empty compost, and ran outside to the big compost bin. Well those are some memorable moments of my life, so now what are yours.
