What Home Means to Me
Home to me means love, memories, laughter, and fun. Home means movies and boardgames every Friday night. It means Mom’s delicious food calling everyone to the table. Home means Dad’s long talks about when he was a kid/teenager. It means having fun with pets and playing music while baking cookies together.
Home to me means memories of grandparents and pets we all had fun with. Home is where we laugh, cry, bake, and play. I love home and making new memories with my family. If I am sad, I go home and my family, my friends, my pets, they all make me happy.
Home to me is always there for me. I love making new memories, like going for walks, biking, movies, boardgames, and baking. Even though my home is small, to me its big and full of fun, love, laughter, and joy. I will always remember the time where it was Christmas morning, I was opening my presents and there was a pile of wrapping paper and my kitten Kylo just jumped right into the pile, so I laughed and my Dad said “Kylo is trying to find his present!” I laughed so hard I almost fell down. I also remember when I was in my bed and Kylo jumped on my bed and he laid right on my feet, so I was stuck in my bed for about an hour or so.
I am so lucky to have a home and I love that Habitat of Humanity helps others to have homes too. I hope that Habitat of Humanity can build more houses for other people in need for a home. Habitat of Humanity is so kind and nice to help other families.
