Happiness is My Home
Home to me is a calm place with no worry a world with no hurry like
a long-distance race when there is always time for a pace.
The smell of fresh cut grass around the track or when mom
makes a warm snack.
Home to me is best friends that will play truth or
dare or will help me braid my hair the
type of people that care.
Home to me is a beach with sunsets with hints of peach or when my little brother caches a leach. Cold waves in the ocean heat waves in the air.
Handstand competitions that aren’t entirely fair.
String bracelets wrapped around my hand and bright colourful towel covered in sand.
Home to me is running down the field with a win always waiting on the next game to begin. My face red a tomato that’s when I know I’ve worked hard.
Happiness is my home.
