Home to me is swimming in the sea salt water in the sweltering heat Sunny road trips to PEI With melting watermelon sorbet all over me Home to me is being able to wake up on beach campsite every summer morning Beautiful waves on my feet With sand in the shells I’ve picked up off of the soft salty shoreline Home to me is the ocean all together A place where I can get my thoughts out A place where there’s no other Home to me is my back being red as a tomato Mom yelling at me and my brother to put sunscreen on That’s home home to me only
