Home Is Where The Heart Is

Home is cozy and warm. No place to be forlorn. A safe harbor for you and for me. In a place where nice things can be. Home is not where hearts break. It's all give, not take. At home you are not lost in a jungle. But still, you can trip and tumble. Even so, you thrive, wild and free. In a place where kind things be. You go home to recover from a bad day. You will feel like home is the best place to stay. At home is my family. Which is everyone, plus me. At home are my mother and my father. I am their daughter. I have a brother and a grandmother too. And a cat with eyes so very blue. Without my family, my home is empty. With no sounds of laughter by the plenty. Home should be a place where happy things be. A place forever, for you and me. I love my home and all things within it. I could never imagine life without a bit of it. Even with the regular sibling squabbles. The love that we share will never wobble. I love my home and all it’s things. I love the way the doorbell rings. And Mom comes home for a family dinner. The food is so good it seems to shimmer. Home is where the heart is. At last comes bedtime. The old clock in the kitchen chimes. We gather ourselves and go to sleep. We dream of love and counting sheep. I love my home and everything in it. I couldn't imagine my home without a bit of it. You must hold home safe in your heart. A place you wish you will never depart. A safe harbor for you and for me. Just wait and you will see…
