Home to Me

Home to me Home is so much more than just a structure with windows and doors. Home can be a place with family and people you care about. Home is a place where you should feel safe. My home feels calm, silent, and relaxing. Especially when I am reading a very good book. My home sometimes looks like me helping my dad make delicious scrambled eggs. It reminds me of when I first helped him cook. My home tastes like having scrambled eggs and hash browns in my mouth while I am slowly chewing to make it last a little longer. Home is a place where your kindness should grow larger and larger. My home sometimes smells like yummy salmon and rice wafting through the air. My home sometimes feels like my mom and dad ruffling my hair. After supper my home sounds like different sizes of plates clattering as we put them into our smooth, white dishwasher. My home feels cool as I walk into it in the summer. My home sometimes looks like my family playing board games and laughing with each other in the evening. At the end of the day, our home is very quiet when we are sleeping. That is home to me. -Kai
