My Home

Everyone has a different meaning of home for some people it is a place of comfort, a place where they can feel safe and welcome. My home means all these things to me and more. One reason why I love my home is because my home is the best place to enjoy all of my traditional dishes with my family. At my house one of my favorite traditional foods is Pastizzi, a Maltese dish that consists of flakey pastry filled with cheese or meat, my family and I really enjoy them. Another traditional food that I enjoy is homemade tomato sauce that my mom and I together. Home is the best place to enjoy these traditional dishes. My home is also a place where I can feel safe and comforted. At my house in my room I feel comfortable and relaxed but when I'm at a hotel or a friend’s house I don’t feel as comfortable as I do at home reading my favorite book or in my room laying on my bed listening to music. I also feel safer in my own home, whenever I'm in the kitchen eating dinner, playing a board game in the living room or sleeping in my bed. I know I'm safe but having a sleepover at a friend's house or staying in a hotel doesn't feel the same. Another reason I love my home is because it’s where I welcome my friends and family. One person that I love to have over to my house is my Zia. My favorite thing to do when she's over is to play in our backyard with her. Looking at all these reasons I love my home I've learned there really is no place like home sweet home.
