What Home is to Me

When you think of home what do you think? I think of how safe I feel with my mom and dad. How happy we feel together and how much we love each other. When I think “safe” in a home I don’t mean like boards on windows safe I mean just feeling safe in your home. For me my safe place is my room whenever I need a moment I do it in my room. My room also has buttloads of photos of steller family, amazing friends and spectacular memories so when I do have a moment I get to see the people I love the most and see some of the best memories in my life. Do you have a favorite memory? At my home on Saturday mornings we all go crazy on mom and dads cozy bed. We call it “family fun time”. Well at least I call it that I’m not too sure about mom and dad. Maybe “family connecting time”. It makes us laugh which releases a happy chemical called endorphins so it makes us happy! Do you have a tradition with your family? My family is not your everyday normal family because I’m adopted, my dads asian and my moms white like me. But even though we're all different we still love each other very much even though we’re all different how cool is that! Is your family as unique as mine? Although it might not be your meaning of home it is mine so whatever your meaning of home is I recommend to do it with your favorite people. Home is not just a building, it's a place to feel happy, safe and loved and I’m so happy that I can help people who are less fortunate than me and make a difference!
