The Meaning of Home

Have you ever wondered what makes a house a home? Well I guess you will have to find out in this paragraph that I have written and at the end you will have a better understanding of what makes a house a home to me. At the end you might have a different idea in your mind at that is good as well. This essay helps Habitat For Humanity to make a more houses in peterborough and the world. My three main ideas are what makes a house a home, 3 things that make my home important to me and why I think everyone deserves a home. To me a house is a building with four walls but a home is a place,a place where you can feel loved by your familly. You can put your stuff like your awards, family pictures, souvenirs, wedding stuff, baby pictures, reminders from people and cool stuff that makes your home special.A home is where you spend the night and spend time with your family. Also if you need to talk to someone your family is there for you.A home is where you make memories with your family and have so much fun with your family at your house First, my room I think is important part of my house to me because I have a lot of things in my room like team pictures ,my team colors as walls and trophies.I also have reminders and other special stuff like a souvenir from PEI and from my aunts, grandparents and parents.Second downstairs, I chose downstairs because my brother and I spend most of our time together down stairs playing lots of fun stuff. My brother and I play mini sticks, play on our Nintendo, and lots of sports.Third my garage,my garage because if i'm not downstairs with my brother i'm outside and shooting pucks and play sports .Also because in the summer I have my bike and go on bike rides with friends and family and I live near jackson creek so I go there a lot.Last my backyard,my backyard because it just got renovated this summer and it is a lot better than my last backyard and it has a lot of things. First I have a hot tub, putting green, new tv, a pool,a small place for my dog Austin and a door to get to my house. I think everyone deserves a home because in most parts of the world in winter it is very cold and most people without a home suffer in winter because it is so cold and your body cannot take the cold without being in a hot place.I think this winter has been not the coldest for the most part but it is very cold especially at night time with no sun and the only light is the moon but unlike the sun that provides heat the moon only gives light and no warmth. It's just so cold for people without homes and you should be grateful if you have a solid house because most kids our age do not have homes. That is what makes a house a home to me but you might have another opinion and that is great to.Also this essay supports $10 just for this entry to Habitat For Humanity and they help to build homes for other people who can't afford or need appliances in their home.So we can build a stronger community Peterborough. Then our act of kindness can affect other parts of the world and that will help a lot to the world.
