Meaning of home

Home Is a comfort. It’s about love and joy. A home has people in it. Even if there is only one person, they have the opportunity to make something, anything into a home. You can have many homes, like a warm comforting hug, or the feeling of happiness when you take a bite out of a fresh cookie out of the oven. I think that a loving family counts as a home, and that anything that makes you happy is one. It’s also possible to have a home inside a home, because if I have a house, and that is a home, and I have a bed, that is a home, and my bed is inside of my house-home. If you ask me, even if you don’t have a house, you can still take comfort in your other homes. To me, a home is my happy place, not necessarily my house, but some of my other homes mixed together, the feeling of a comfortable blanket, wrapped in the arms of my parents, under the shade of our maple tree. Home is the taste of hot chocolate, the smell of pie fresh out of the oven, the sight of the first flowers sprouting in your yard, the feeling of a warm blanket, and the sound of laughter. Home has my friends and family, it’s more than walls and a roof. Home is love. Home is also about making home happy for other people. When you do this, home is happier for you. Whether you’re donating to housing for humanity or shoveling your new neighbor’s driveway, you are making home even more happier for you and for others.
