My Mama’s Lap

Home is more than just a structure with four walls and one roof. My house is filled with support, happiness and with love, but home is in my mama’s lap. I say that because I feel safe, comfortable, and happy when I coil up and lay on her lap. I feel so secure whenever I lay on her lap, I feel so much more at home because of her scent which smells just like a strawberry milkshake and a spray of my favorite cologne, lavender, and her lap is as comfortable as a big, cozy, furry blanket. Up till now I still curl up into a little ball and lay on my mama's lap. I will always be comforted with the knowledge that I am safe on my mama's lap.
