Home, a comfort zone

At home I see, here, feel, taste and smell all kinds of things. I see my siblings. Together we laugh and play. I see my turtle. Together we play in the summer. In the winter she hibernates even though she lives in a tank. I see my parents. They care for me, and I know I am loved by them. I listen to music all the time. It makes me calm. I hear laughter downstairs. It makes me want to join in on the fun. I hear the air fryer and the oven. It reminds me of good food that we can eat. I hear the piano playing gorgeous pieces. I hear birds on a beautiful winter, spring or summer morning. I hear my neighbour’s dog. It's loud. Around my house I feel safe. I feel that I can be myself in my house. I feel loved by my whole family. I feel cozy and warm when I walk inside from school. Inside my house I taste mom's fresh baked bread. I tasted apple strudel. My mom’s is the best! I tasted pizza. No matter if it's homemade or bought it always tastes good. I smell a clean house. It makes me think “wow I should be thankful for what my mom does.” I smell a candle it makes me want to go up and smell it. I smell food baking it makes me wonder what we have for breakfast, dinner or dinner.
